What is the most expensive car in the world? The 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was sold for $8,700,000 in 1987. However, that car and many alike will not be included in this list because it is not available on the market today. It is hard to imagine someone would actually spend 8 million dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, why not spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these supercars in your garage.

It was built in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide ceramic composite disc brakes. Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. The Enzo’s V12 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari. It is based on the architecture of the V8 found in sister-company Maserati’s Quattroporte, using the same basic architecture and 104 mm (4.1 in) bore spacing.

It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph. Its rarity (limited to 20) and slick design are the reasons why it is so expensive and costly to own.

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined grand touring car. The Super Sport version is the fastest road-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431 km/h (268 mph). The original version has a top speed of 408.00 km/h (253.52 mph). It was named Car of the Decade (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear. Designed and developed by Volkswagen Group (based on the Bentley Hunaudieres concept) and produced by Bugatti Automobiles SAS at their headquarters in Château Saint Jean in Molsheim (Alsace, France), the Veyron’s chief designer was Hartmut Warkuss, and the exterior was designed by Jozef Kabaň of Volkswagen, with much of the engineering work being conducted under the guidance of former Peterbilt Trucks engineer and now Bugatti Engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber.
The best part of this car is that it can legally be driven by anyone with a driving permit, unlike other super cars that require special driving permits!

Definitely wouldn't pay that much money for a Veyron!
These are simply amazing! And definitely costly too. But for sure, as you said, if people have extra money and the opportunity, they would definitely want some of these in their garages.
